    Meh another boring day..

Finishing up a website in the next couple of days hopefully so we can move on the next project. Slowly planning my vacation to Alaska for when my wife gets back from deployment. We're still waiting for final leave approval from her Commanding Officer so we can start "really" planning since my mom is going to fly out to watch the kids while we take the trip.

Should be end of June. Trip is planned for end of August, so that should give us some buffer. Recent events I don't really think have any effect on her return date, but what do I know...

@hoaxci5 hey bro, The army has a mandatory cool down period after deployments now. I would imagine it extends to all the units not just us shooters. I think the minimum is 60 days and a bunch of stupid tree hugger crap that has to be done. Not sure what your wife does but we usually knew about 30 days before redeployment when our leave days were. Where is your wife deployed to?

I just recently returned from a trip I took on the Maersk Sealand Mercury a 903 foot container vessel. I was on there just as a learning experiance since I'm a marine inspector and always regulating these types of ships. Got on in Houston and stayed on it 35 days till it returned to houston. In the 35 days we went from Houston to Miami, Norfolk, Rotterdam Holland, Felixstowe UK, Bremmerhaven Germany, Newark, Charleston, Savannah, Mobile and back to Houston. Had a pretty interesting time and got to see quite a few places I haven't been. It took 7 days to cross the atlantic the first time and we slowed down for schedule sake on the way back and took 10 days. Saw alot of water.

This weekend I'm going camping with the boyscouts as a leader. We're going to be building catapults and competing for accuracy and distance. Hopefully i can find a challenge for the XK while i'm out.

That's whats going on Chez moi.

She's a Navy doctor currently at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan. She is with the Seabees (construction) so they are on a pretty fixed deployment schedule. Once she's back from this deployment she isn't supposed to go anywhere out of country at least until March when they deploy to Spain which is their staging area for humanitarian missions in Africa I guess..

Welder. Be a welder. People always need welders. Or a barber. I have not heard of an unemployed barber.

I am trying to collect an audit premium and write insurance for a fleet of rental dwellings That is exciting.

I was/am contemplating being a welder, but I'm thinking about something in management. I'm a hands-on person tho, so I just can't decide. Maybe computer design? IDK.....

Wait, no. You can't design computers as welding supervisor.
