Ok, started my CB antenna hookup today. I just need to terminate the other end in my cab and im set.

Didn't have a good ground at first so I threw a jumper cable on there... now have perfect continuity!

I kinda like that mounting spot. I put mine up high. Its over 8ft up which creates problems getting in a parking garage. I dont want to grind the top off against the concrete.LOL. I guess I could get a quick disconnect, not sure how good they work.

Thanks. I'll probably keep mine inside and just put it on when going offroad... but at the same time I didn't want it much taller than my roof line so it doesn't scrape branches and other overhangs.

Finished it up. As a reminder I have the Midland CB that plugs into the outlet and has the option for connecting an exterior antenna.

I used Velcro to hold the end up to the center console... simply peel off and plug in.

You have to re-tune your antenna again....

Blue! Just make sure it's the tunable one and not the one you trim to tune.

That's one of the reasons i want to get a new one... get a tuneable one to set it up properly. The one i have now is a trim-to-tune that's already been cut.. and it's pretty beat up.
