    TPMS Light?

I keep getting the tpms light flashing at me. It happens at odd times, and the latest it happened was this morning. It comes on blinking, and will blink for a few mins then it goes away. Has anybody else had this happen to them? Any ideas on what could be wrong? Nothing else comes on or the XK doesn't drive any different then normal. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Sean

Have you checked the pressure in your tires?

x2... check your tire pressures. This is a common occurrance during seasonal changes... the change in temperature causes a variation in the sensors readings. So if any of them were close to the limit to begin with, the seasonal change puts them riiiiiight at the limit and causes an intermittent light.

Also, make sure you're checking the tire pressures while the tires are "cold". That means ambient temp. The tires heat up while driving..... so you want to inflate them to the proper pressure before driving anywhere.

Just checked them and I think I found my problem. My d/s rear is at 35psi, and all the others are at 42. So i will put air in that tire and see if the light comes back on. Thanks again.

42 seems kind of high... I'd recommend setting them all around 35-38.

But yeah, that difference in pressure will definitely cause the light to come on.

Doesn't the spare tire have a sensor as well? Check that to just to be safe.

The tires are stock with a max of 44 psi.35 psi is to low for me. Sal the spare is off right now due to me finding it to be flat and it needing to be plugged. I dont know if that will have anything to do with it.
