One of my childhood friends is an orthopedic surgeon in Chicago. My dad and I got him into pistol shooting when we were in elementary school. Since he moved to the Windy City he's had to join a shooting club outside of the city limits so he has a place to store his weapons. Apparently it is against the law for civilians to carry or have a firearm in the within the city.Originally Posted by jcoulter
It was illegal to have a hand gun in the city limits rifles were ok if I remember correctly. I think that law has been ruled unconstitutional and there changing it finally but chicago will regulate and tax the crap out of having one. They just want the drug pushers and gang bangers being the only ones with guns.
