A trip to Seaside Oregon 2011

Here's some photos of a trip we just came back from. We stayed just south of Seaside in the RV at Circle Creek.

Here's the XK being dragged along.

The shelter setup. The green wall is a Wallup. The awning is a Foxwing.

18 inch long copper pipes jammed down in the sand, and the Wallup's spikes set down into them. It worked great, and held against the usual 15 MPH beach wind.

It made a difference. It was drizzling on Monday, so the setup worked great.

The next day, it was nice and sunny. The XK looks ghostly in the steam rising from the sand at low tide.

A very tired Jack. He was like a wound up toy when we let him out of the Jeep. He LOVES playing in the sand.

The Bell Jet Ranger which took us up and around the area.

Seaside Oregon from about 1,500 feet up.

    Haystack Rock.

I forget what this hole-in-the-rock is called.

"Terrible Tillie" the supposedly haunted lighthouse.

The Cannon Beach area from above.

A golf course south of Seaside.

    Highway 101 leading into Seaside.

    We put mom up front.

Vacation development between Seaside and Cannon Beach.

A cell phone tower up on the hills that makes up most of Ecola State park.

Now, we're on the ground in Ecola state park. There's that hollow rock again.

Great pictures Adondo. The airborne shots brings back memories of forty years ago when I spent my days at 1500 feet. All your contributions to the forum are greatly appreciated including your professional pictures and your technical advise.
