Yeah the angle was too much... so i flipped it back. I did drop it down one spacer. I'll be adding a 0-degree stem to my wish list.
Also did some work on my friends Raleigh. Not a bad bike for the price... but its a bit heavy. I set it up 1x9 with a surly ss chainring, MRP guide, shortened the chain and properly adjusted his derailleur. Set him up with Stans tubeless conversion kit. Fixed his headset (stem was too high and it wasn't tightened down properly). His brakes were also horribly adjusted so i fixed those too... they didn't even align his calipers properly. Oh, and hooked up his Cateye. He owes me big time.... which is good because i'll have him align my jeep after I lift it again (we worked at the same shop for years together)
Nice! I was thinking that the stem upside down would of been too much, especially since you are running a straight bar allready. I need to remove my big sprocket from up front and adjust the rear derailer.

Yeah... the angle doesn't look like much, but flipped over it was much more extreme.
We went out for a ride today. My buddy loved the work i did on his bike. lol he almost went OTB the first time he hit the brakes.... its amazing how properly aligning the caliper and adjusting the pads makes a difference!! I like my bars lowered that little bit... i think a straight stem will be perfect (then possibly some riser bars and get rid of that last spacer).

Its basically a rim strip with a valve in it and sealant which replace the tubes. So its like a car tire at that point.... just the rim and tire. The sealant also does a great job of stopping flats from punctures (like thorns). I used to go through tubes like crazy.... haven't had a flat tire since going tubeless.
Tubeless also lets you run much lower pressure since you don't have to worry about pinch flats. Thus, a smoother/faster ride and more traction for turns and climbs.
Looks like I'll have to try this conversion........I'm running to aired up right now but if I let some out I get the pinch flats.
