Ummm... It does eventually go away.
Like after a minute or two?
I thought it was the water pump but was not sure. Umm, it goes away after 10-15 mins.
Using what? Your calibrated ear drums?
OR one of these?
If I were you, i'd pick up one of those stethoscopes and probe around to pinpoint the actual origin of the squeak. The thing about metal and mechanical systems is that noises are transferred through components very quickly and they'll often resonate the most at a location further away then expected, causing you to look in the wrong spot for the root cause.
lol i wasn't being facetious
Customers don't like when you start throwing parts at a vehicle to eliminate the squeak they're complaining about. Those stethoscopes are a "must have" for this type of troubleshooting IMO
Ive used an extension from a socket set , place it against the ear, not as good as a stethascope though

Although, funny - I have no idea why people won't just take my word for when I say it's "Coming From HERE". I've lost my interest in the topic and that's o.k., i'm going to do what I really don't want to do, and just take it to a mechanic.
