I'm not exactly sure what the typical symptoms are of a starter that's on it's way out, but mine had been acting weird ever since last January. Several times each month when I would turn the key, you could hear the gear in the starter turning, but it wasnt shooting out properly to engage the fly wheel. I'd turn the key back to the off position and then go to start it again and it would start right up no problem. It had to of happened about 50 times in the past year. I do a lot of traveling with the Army and decided that I didnt want to get stranded one of these days when Im 6 hours from home so decided to throw in a new starter along with new wiring for that solenoid that shoots the gear out to make contact with the fly wheel. When I got the old starter out it was pretty much shot. You could shake it and everything inside sounded sloppy and loose.

This the line I don't like looks fine in the pic but with the doors shut the red that bleeds threw don't look right.

What kind of paint did you use, or is that some sort of truck bed liner? Also what exactly did you do to prep the surface prior to painting. I wanted to get to mine this weekend but i had so much other stuff to do. Going to try to tackle this before i leave for the Army this weekend.
