How can i tell when i need to replace the upper and/or lower control arms? sorry for the newbie question
Upper: when the bushings or balljoint goes bad.
Lower: all the bushings and the balljoint can be replaced separately, but its not much more to replace the whole arm.
You may notice clunking noises and/or check for play when the tire is off the ground.
thanks matt. i guess my question should of been ,would bad bushings or arms contribute to a shudder at 60 mph? once again sorry for the questions.
Na, I would check tire balance first.
I don't think that all of the LCA bushings are replaceable. Meaning I don't think that every bushing on the LCA has an aftermarket part out as of now
