X-mass exodus is a double edge sword your grateful for the break but then it sucks because it adds two weeks to your time LOL. You should have a lot more freedom in OCS. You're actually considered a soldier at this point not a recruit.

Yeah... We were reminded that SEVERAL times today. for two months DS's told us what and how and when. In OCS, just in the 8hrs ive been here they remunded us we are no longer privates. To ask questions and think for ourselves... Basically to start taking over leadership. The cadre are pretty down-to-earth. And to those wishing me luck and etc, I appreciate it a lot. I miss jumping on here and hanging with ya'll. Every ones advice continues to be extremely useful.

It great to hear from you AJ! I'm glad all is well and a big thanks for your service man. Sometimes I think I should have went into the service but then I remember how much of a goof ball I am. I'd be in trouble majority of the time, lol.

Lol - im a goof. For people in their late 20's... We have more maturity than most of the teens coming in. Basic didnt 'change' me but taught me the ability to turn on the discipline switch when things get hot. There are guys who still struggle with just the basics.
