It's a quick change oil valve. You put it in place of the drain plug. Use a short hose, and there's no more mess.
2006, 4.7L, QTII, Toyo Wild Country M/T 265/70R17 tires, Ultrasport 175 wheels, Rocky Road 2.25'' lift kit, HID off-road lighting, Surco 50x60 roof rack, Foxwing awning, Superchips performance programming.
For me, on the 5.7, the mess is with the filter change were there is a channel in the front frame for the the oil to run down, but it gets all over the axle assembly, front suspension, chassis, and factory skid.... I never seem to have a big enough drain pan to catch all the different drips. Not well thought out, but I suppose there is a lot going on and not much space to do it in.
That quick change oil valve will make oil changes so much easier and cleaner, since you wont have to remove the Superlift skid every time.

Scrubbed the &*^*^%&%&%##$@ seats with a shiitleload of THIS!!!
Going to the hayride Saturday night was the last straw. My kids couldn't have gotten MORE dirt on the back seats, if I'd opened the sunroof and driven under a mudslide!
Three white clean shop towels later, I had three beige/brown shop towels, and HOPEFULLY (by tomorrow), clean seats!

Took advantage of the weather and gave it a good once-over after last weekends wheeling trip. None of the dried dirt showed signs of absorbing oil so thats a good sign!
