Lots and lots of 4-wheeling in the area there. As mentioned, Traildamage.com is a great source. Also, the Mile-Hi Jeep Club met there in 2004 if you want some write-ups and such:

Not sure what sort of amenities folks will need for camping, but there are quite a few options in the area. Just a bit toward Denver is Idaho Springs, which has this one:

And there's whitewater rafting thereabouts, too.

I'm stuck in South Carolina until at least 30 June, so I probably won't be into Colorado until around 6 July. World doesn't revolve around me, though. (Unfortunately.)

These guys do not take groups in July and would not give me a price, I will keep looking around and if anyone in the areas knows of a place let us know.
