The video makes it look easy, and I have also used my hands to remove the front plate as in the video. I am however, always slightly apprehensive when pulling on expensive parts !
This last time, I looked around my garage for something to help pull with. I was concerned that I would risk scratching the face if I used anything metal. So I tried my plastic fuse puller.
Worked well !!
I could feel where the clips were and I could pull next to them. I'm also thinking it would have broken the end off of the fuse puller before breaking or cracking the face plate.
Now more work to do....
Oh, and as in the video, (and not as in my photos ) pulling the gear selector back to "Drive" helps..
