Mine smacks my jeep sometimes if a passing truck moves it just right then it gets into a rhythm and bangs hard I usually have slam on the brakes to stop it

umm understand now, have not had that issue

Mine chills off the front.... probably helps reception being away from the cab as well

mine has never hit the cab although I have always expected it to do so.
