On your photo labeled "this is the wire I tapped into" - do you have the ability to add an arrow or something? All I see is a buncha wires and I am not sure which you are referring to.

Otherwise, AWESOME install thread from you, as usual.

    Looks good man!

Only thing I would change is to highly recommend tapping into a known 12V supply that isn't going into any modules. Something like the cigarette lighter. With all of the computer controlled electronics on these vehicles, if you just use a test light you may end up tapping into something that you think is a 12V, but really a signal for one of the modules and that can cause issues.

I figured since it only had power when I turned the dash lights on is that's what it was. I didnt want to do the cig lighter because it would come on all the time. This way it only comes on with the rest of the dash.

I got ya... you just want to be careful tapping into a random wire without knowing what it actually goes to. Just a caution and something to keep in mind when splicing into wire.

I hear you I purposely went to that section looking for the dash light power source. I cycled every switch on the panel and the only time that wire powered up was when I kicked the dash lights on. I normally run all my power straight from the battery but like I said this time I wanted it to light up with the dash.
