I used all Grade 8 hard ware and lock tight on the threads. The bolt closest to the front had to be drilled there was no hole and yes I have used them got pulled out on a angle buy a F250 they held up fine.
The only thing I would do different is get a piece of metal to act as a giant washer that both the bolts would go thew like a backing plate. I'll probably do that when I switch to a shackle setup.
Awesome thanks, I didn't want to get down there and not be allowed on the trails for no front recovery point. Thanks, it looks like that cap was what I need to remonve so I can see inside the cross member? I just dont want to start taking off body panels on Friday night when I leave at 6:00 on Saturday. You can get the everything you need off to put the hooks on in like 10 minuets it only takes me like 5 minuets now there is nothing to it.
